Recording Audio
What are the options I have to record my sessions?
Web recorder (recommended)
Apple device companion app
Android device
Chrome web extension
In order to record your sessions we recommend using either the web recorder integrated in the JotPsych website or the Apple device companion app. The Chrome web extension is still active but will be discontinued in the next few months to make way for the web recorder which is simpler to use.
This article will show you how to use the web recorder. For instructions on setting up other companion apps, click on either one shown in the itemized list below.
Which tool is right for me?
Web recorder
If you are a telehealth provider looking to record your sessions, you should use the web recorder.
If you're comfortable having your computer open during your in-person session, the web recorder could be a good choice for you.
If you don't like having your computer open during your in-person session, recording using your iPhone or iPad is a quick and convenient way of setting up to record your session.
You may record your in-person sessions on your portable Android device if you would rather not have your computer open during an in-person session.
If you are are familiar with Chrome web extensions and find it more convenient than the web recorder
